श्लोक 23 – Verse 23

योत्स्यमानानवेक्षेऽहं य एतेऽत्र समागताः।
धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दुर्बुद्धेर्युद्धे प्रियचिकीर्षवः।।1.23।।

yotsyamānān avekṣhe ’haṁ ya ete ’tra samāgatāḥ
dhārtarāṣhṭrasya durbuddher yuddhe priya-chikīrṣhavaḥ

शब्दों का अर्थ

yotsyamānān—those who have come to fight; avekṣhe aham—I desire to see; ye—who; ete—those; atra—here; samāgatāḥ—assembled; dhārtarāṣhṭrasya—of Dhritarashtra’s son; durbuddheḥ—evil-minded; yuddhe—in the fight; priya-chikīrṣhavaḥ—wishing to please

।।1.23।। दुष्टबुद्धि दुर्योधन का युद्ध में प्रिय करने की इच्छावाले जो ये राजालोग इस सेना में आये हुए हैं, युद्ध करने को उतावले हुए इन सबको मैं देख लूँ।

Sanjaya said, “O descendant of Bharata (Dhrtarastra)! Thus instructed by Gudakesa (Arjuna), Hrsikesa halted the best chariot at a place in between the two armies, in front of Bhisma and Drona and all the rulers of the earth. He then said, ‘O son of Prtha! Behold these Kurus, assembled.'”
